RNA-seq differential expression
From raw counts or FASTQ to a result you can defend to a reviewer.

Freelance bioinformatics for labs and companies without an in-house analyst. Send me your counts matrix, your FASTQ files or your public cohort, and get back results you can put in a manuscript.
Cancer transcriptomics, survival modelling, structural bioinformatics and reproducible pipelines. Fixed scope, fixed price, agreed before any work starts.
Each engagement is a written scope with a fixed fee. Fifty percent on start, fifty on delivery. If your work does not fit these shapes, tell me what it looks like and I will quote it.
From raw counts or FASTQ to a result you can defend to a reviewer.
TCGA, CGGA and GEO cohorts assembled, modelled and cross-checked.
Your one-off analysis turned into something your whole lab can rerun.
Most projects start with a twenty minute call and a look at your data structure. You will know the price and the delivery date before you commit anything.
What you measured, what you want to know, and what the data looks like right now.
A one page statement of work: deliverables, fee, timeline, revision rounds. You sign it or you do not.
I work in the open with a short progress note midway, so nothing arrives as a shock at the end.
Figures, tables, a written interpretation and the code. Plus a call to walk you through it.
I am a computational biologist based in Nairobi. My MSc research at Kenyatta University characterises vascular normalisation in low-grade glioma across three independent cohorts, using R and Bioconductor throughout: differential expression, signature scoring, immune deconvolution and multivariable survival modelling.
Before that I spent a research placement at the Bioinformatics Institute, A*STAR Singapore, on an SIPGA award, working on protein-ligand interaction analysis and cardiac ion channel liability for antimicrobial compounds. That is where I learned to be careful with structural data.
I also co-founded NORYTA Limited, a Kenyan technology and scientific solutions company, where I lead the data side. For larger builds that need a team and a contracting entity, I bring NORYTA in. For analysis work, you are hiring me.
I am comfortable working as a subcontractor to consultancies and sequencing providers, under your brand and without public credit, if that is what the project needs.
Tell me what you have and what you need to know. I will reply within one working day with either a quote or an honest referral if it is not my area.
